Danau Toba - Mango Land - 2014

Never have I seen so many mango trees concentrated in one area. The mangoes of Lake Toba (Mangga Parapat), are sweet and sour all together, and apparently, only available at this lake.

I had mangoes from the markets, in the chalets, on the streets, in the lake, on the boat, in a cave, and by a waterfall. There's even a mango island called Sibandang, which is popular for its mango fields. They're everywhere!

The North West outer crater trail from Silalahi to Tuk Tuk is one of the most scenic and relaxing expeditions I've been on. The 65km trail do include staying in Tongging, Haranggaol and Ambarita.
